Default Level 1 Welding Inspector (CWB)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello Everyone,

I recently took the CWB level 1 exam, i passed all the writtin open and closed book exams but failed the practical by merely 3%. I got 67% and CWB requires 70% as a pass.

So, my question is what is there marking criteria for practical? They provided 10 samples for me to inspect and point out defects. I pretty much mentioned most of the visual defect for each weld. I found only 1 out of 10 weld samples to be acceptable everything else had unacceptable discontinuities which can easily be rejected as defects.

So, i don't know if CWB has negative marking policy for practical exam?

Can anyone help clarify CWB practical exam requirements?

Thanks in advance.

eric
