Default Carson Lake

headin there sunday. hows it been? what should we use i havent been out in a long time and havent had much luck this year. goin with my little cousin hopefully one of us can catch somethin. ill probly be using fly gear and he will be using spinning. any help is appreciated.

If you are on the shore use powerbait, shrimp, marshmallows, etc.. on a 1.5 foot leader. Make sure that your bait will float. Add weight at the connection to the line. When cast out you will get the bait floating 1.5 feet off of the bottom.

If you are trolling, use small spoons, spinners with a willow leaf in front.

That is what works for me.

we were there 2 weeks ago.
in half a day we landed about 2 dozen. all on the fly rods.
seemed like anything with some green on it worked.
lots of fun!!!!!!!!!

Idaho nymphs on a sinking line. Let it go deep then pull up with short jerks. Make sure there is a white tuft on it's back.

Carson seems like a year round fishery. Looking forward to early icefishing season out there.
