My target today. I got 10 on this seven inch square so i thought of the offhand challenge and shot 2 more of course one of them missed. Havent got the challenge with open sights yet.

Its a steyr canadian ranger edition, unsuccessfull candidate for the rangers. A bit heavier than the scout and good peep sight. Also has the hokey bipod like the scout. Its 308

took me a while but i got 12 shots in 8 inches 100 metres iron sights. 30 06 winchester alaskan with redfield peep

I’ll be practicing and working toward this over the summer. Might only get out a handful of times.
I just found my optimal charge weight this past weekend so time to load and practice until Sep 17

Consistent offhand (like every discipline) requires a unique skill set ... and a lot of practice. My hat is off to those that can pull this one together.

I practice. bench loose bags. Bipod with chair and free hand. Because that’s what I use while hunting.
I’m pretty sure I can do it with three shots.

Default Off hand challenge results

Wow...that was a lot tougher than I thought it was going to be ....try again tomorrow when it’s not raining.

That looks like some pretty darn credible offhand shooting to me. What cartridge and rifle were you using?

it’s that time of year to be practicing up.
Pretty sure I have a better chance at this bow than any rifle
