Default Wet tumbling brass?

What is the most economical way to do this using stainless pins? Thanks.

"Economical"....? Water is cheap enough. Stainless steel pins last forever. Thumler's Tumbler, Frankford Arsenal, home brew units.....

Dawn dish soap....Lemi-Shine.

Not sure what you're asking.

I was unable to find lemi-shine locally but have had excellent results with turtlewax wash and wax. Brass don’t tarnish like they did with plain dish soap

I’m looking for a reasonably priced tumbler.

If you can’t find Lemishine just substitute for citric acid it’s the exact same thing and cheaper. If you start calling it moist tumbling It’ll get the dry tumbling the wet tumbling and hipsters that don’t like the word moist fired up. I had made a home made one but it wasn’t great so I just bucked up for the Frankfort Arsenal.

Side note I hear brass juice and no pins is all the rage for moist tumbling these days.

Most economical, have a friend with a tumbler do it for you.

Some people have built their own tumblers, but I bought the kit with tumbler and steel pins. Once you have a tumbler and pins, the water and Dawn/Lemishine are cheap.

Not sure about cheapest tumbler but lemi-shine they have at canadian tire in west edmonton. Lemi-shine and Sunlight is what I use.

I quit using the pins for pistol brass a long time ago. Have to tumble a bit longer (2 hours) but it is really nice not to have to deal with the pins. I have tumbled rifle brass with no pins too. It obviously does not clean the primer pockets or inside but it's plenty clean for what I do.

No pins / 2 hours / Lemi-shine and sunlight:

I seem to be that friend to everyone. Laughing!

Ah...I see. I bought my Thumler's Tumbler almost 5 years ago. I don't know what they're going for now (or if you can even get them in Canada anymore). The Frankford Arsenal unit is popular (and available).

There are also different styles of pins. There are standard rod shape and some that have diagonal cut ends. Presumably to get tight into primer pockets. I've never used them. There are some that have a combination of both. eBay has an assortment to choose from if you decide to go that route as an option.

It definitely doesn't get too much more economical that. Brilliant.

That seems to be the problem. Nothing available in Canada.
