Default Windy too

Just got home from fishing down south and wind was insane driving home. Better around here but if it rains and freezes and stays breezy it could get real ugly for driving the southern hiways.

It started coming down 10 minutes ago at my place.Tomorrow morning is going to be dicey and most likely it will be business as usual for the roads department "out working when they should not be and not working when they should be".Give those bridge decks and ramps some extra respect in the morning.

Come on guys, we've been living on borrowed time. Maybe the elk will show up now where I want them.

The real issue is that I get one personal day per year, and I took it for tomorrow so I could head out for deer. Not sure what the 1A is going to be like; and the quarter I have permission on is the other side of Cochrane. It will be a nice day to be out, but I've set the alarm for extra-early for fear of what the roads might be like.

Snow tires and 4 wheel drive be damned.....You could not pay me enough money to drive down that hill into Cochrane tomorrow morning....hell if I got dispatched a mini hot shot to Cochrane I would refuse it....that hill gives me the willy's when I have hot dry pavement to drive on.

Really? Start into the hill at 85, pop it into 3rd gear, a glide down the hill. Easy peasy. Might have to take it down to 2nd tomorrow.

It's still howling outside and some kind of precip is hitting my window.
Thinking/wishing I could call in sick... Hate driving after a major snow.
Hate driving.

Cranston roads were a mess this morning (IE.. ICY), and from cranston/seton blvd onto deerfoot was black ice as well. With some patches of black ice heading north on deerfoot til about 130th. Be careful out there folks, saw lots of "almost accidents".

Getting out of the neighborhood was rough, MacLeod was clear and fast as usual.
Left early just in case. Arrived early.
Guess I get OT for doing techs paperwork.

Phew! Drive to Grand Valley was a bit dicey once out of Calgary (don't think I got above about 75 - it was like driving on a skating rink). I did down a nice big whitey doe just before 9:30 though, which made up for the effort put in.

Lighting and 100km/hr winds in Lethbridge last night, then rain-hail-snow and more wind lol. Don't ever remember a thunderstorm in mid November??

WOW...That would of been awsome to see...I love thunderstorms but down in your area and the mild wether with the rain we seen here in Calgary, it was kinda ripe for a lightning show
