Default Do it Yourself Bird Feeder

Any bird watchers have a favorite diy model? I like taking pictures and would love some bird opportunities. Tips on food would be appreciated too, thanks.

I like to use sunflower seed chip for feeding. I prefer using the tube type feeders that help keep wasted seed down to a minimum, also feeders with a decent sized tray to catch seeds as they fall work well. Another advantage of the seeds I use is there is very minimal waste since they've already been shelled and also don't have any "filler" seeds added into the mixture that just get wasted. Peanut butter feeders work quite well too in colder weather and they are easy to make, just google them and you'll see just how basic and easy it is to make them
