Que the day-beauty of Alberta.
5:45-Alarm. Up and feed the hens. Into garage and check gear-check.
6:20-House and breakfast with kids and wife before school-check.
6:45-leave house to make shop at 7 and meet up with the fellas-check.
8-11-oilfield electrical service call done and complete...everything back online- check.
11::15- pick up 10yr old from school cause sick and mom can't get out of work-check.
11:45-collect eggs and water hens.
12:00-load Btrain of canola, followed by Btrain of barley-check.
2:30-mom off work for daughter, friend on days off after night shift, time to hunt.
5:45-no luck. Local tavern. Couple beer. Catch up w/neighbours and locals on hunts. No one else lucky either.
7:00.-In the door to wife having beer battered Pike I caught thru the ice this winter (and must have missed in the freezer) with taters and carrots out of our garden this year.
8:30 kids to bed.
Turn on TV, sit to drink the left over Kokanee from the fish batter, and the flames are even still winning with 4 min left in 3rd.
Wouldn't trade it for the world!!!
