Default Hello from Manitoba

Hi guys: Thought I would join you if you don't mind a flat lander joining in. Yes there are times I still fly fish in Alberta and I do enjoy it. Great fishing out there. Manitoba is quite different although both provinces have great stillwater fisheries but I'm a little jealous of the river fishing you have for trout.Guess I'll have to settle for the Channel Cats. Anyway glad to be part of the board.

You will have to fish some of the FLIPPR lakes in the parkland area and let us know how it goes. Supposed to be incredible.

Hi Stu,

I spend a lot of time in the summers at the cabin in the Duck Mountain Provincial Park, and I always bring the flyrod. So many lake opportunities in the area.

If you are ever up that way in July, let me know and we can meet up.

Thanks guys. I do fish the Parklands area and there are some mighty big trout in those lakes. A riot to fish. Right now my concentration is on Channels Cats. A hoot on the fly rod and you will get sore arms. What a hoot. Got to figure out this picture thingso I can post some for you guys.

Yep the Winnipeg River is awesome for Goldeye but the North Saskatchewan in Edmonton is beyond the Winnipeg. Spots on there have yielded 17-18 inchers.
