Default Deer Photos - 2017

Well, now that I have posting photos figured out (I think!), I'll try to post a few photos I've taken this fall.

By the way, a young lad here shot that Muley buck in the first two photos opening weekend of our rifle season.... I was glad to see a youngster get it. I was within easy bow range when I took the photos, but passed on him..

Perhaps he meant the "passing on him" part. Not many people would lol.

Hmmmmm....the reason I passed on him is because here in Montana we are only allowed one buck per season. We cannot shoot a buck during bow season and another in rifle season. Also, we cannot shoot a whitetail and a muley like you guys can in Alberta....one buck per season here regardless of whether it is a whitetail or a mule deer. I passed this buck because I was hunting a big whitetail I was hoping to get (which I haven't yet)....

I'm not sure why anyone cares what another person chooses to pass.... Or shoot. I don't judge anyone else whether they shoot a little doe or whether they choose to pass a buck most hunters would take in a second. I was merely sharing some photos I've taken that I thought folks might enjoy. If this kind of comment is what I have to deal with, I'll share no more photos... I have better things to do....

For sure that was meant in good fun.

The same goes for Tatonka threatening to stop sharing the pictures we love to see.

Awesome photos - I could see myself getting a couple of those printed large format or on canvas and hung on a wall!

Love the last scenery shot with the lone deer - stunning! I have spent a bit of time in Montana in the last few years (never hunting, mind you) and quite enjoy the landscapes.

Glad to hear a youngster harvested him - talk about a good way to light the hunting fire, what a deer!
