I haven't swapped the scope out yet. It's good to 100-150 IF you don't touch the 3-9 variable adjustments.... don't know if that makes sense.... but that's what we figured out about it at the range a month ago.

Got a Burris Fullfield 2 3x9 to go on it after the season is done.

Way to go!!!! If you are not mounting the horns I had a knife made for my daughter with the scales made from the shin bones of her first black bear. Made a great keepsake. Could do the same with the horns if you find a good knife maker. Or the shin bones. Just make sure the bones are stabalized so they dont crack.

Happy Hunter, Proud Daddy. Good on you for taking the time to Hunt with your son and be there for the first kill.
A fine start to your sons 'Man Cave'...or room, and meat in the freezer.

Nice deer
Hes hooked now.
Keep him away from sheep, it’s like a bad drug 😜
It pretty much consumes your life.

Default memories

He'll always remember his first kill and who mentored him.Cherish the moment and get him to help you do a European mount for his room.I did the same with all my boys with a H+R 158 in 30-30 to make them make the first shot count before being allowed bolt actions.Good for the young lad.......Harold
