I have the Vortex Diamondback and absolutely love it for the price. I have a Leupold VX II on one of my other guns and the clarity is very comparable.

I also have a Diamondback on my Savage, planning on getting one for my son. I think that they are a good value for the price. Definetly would recommend them.

Whiskey,

I just finishing researching and asking for advice on a purchase of a new scope and I posted a scope comparison chart on a thread a few days ago. It's worth having a look at. Vortex was suggested to me by someone on the thread. Apparently they are very nice scopes but with a little research you might find a better bang for your buck.....or not.

I can't and won't say anything bad about Vortex but I decided to go with a Sightron as a result of my research. I bought it to replace a Leupold VXII because I wanted a BDC type recticle in a scope within my budget. I also got it cheap on ebay.

I'm not sure what your budget is but allot of people endorsed the Zeiss Conquest but they are getting expensive.

Anyway, a Vortex is a fine scope if you go that route.

Dave

Its amazing. I emailed them to complain when my new binoculars would not adjust properly and they simply sent me a new pair no questions asked and they are worth $600 or so. I still have the faulty ones...too bad I can't find anyone to fix them lol. But ya, the warranty is as good as they say.

Default Vortex ROCKS

I bought the Binos this spring, they are awesome.

I bought the scope this fall, it's awesome.

I had a small nut fall off my binos, and they sent me some loaners while I kept my binos to finish off the season. I just sent in mine to get fixed with the loaners.
No hassles and the Guelph dealer was eager to please!

I researched a lot before I bought and the warranty was the first to sell me, as I am rough on gear, and they will warranty anything, including driving over it with your truck!

The next thing that sold me was the quality. I have no complaints. Everything seems to have a good fit. The only thing that could improve is the quality of glass but then you're talking 2-5 times the price. And My wife would drop kick me in the jewels if I dropped 2 grand on some binos.......... not worth it!

Go for Vortex and you won't be disappointed!

Had one for this season and never again!!! Cheap finish, Bad eye relief,I was just not happy with it.... For less money you can buy a 3200 or the new Redfield... Vortex may be a great company but the scopes aint!!! Oh and i know aint aint a word!!! LOL

Really? I compared my vortex viper with a 3200 and found the vortex to be considerably clearer and I could get a focus on my target easier with the vortex. I have only had it for a season, but my experience with this scope would lead me to recommend it to anyone looking for some quality sanely priced optics. This has been my experience so far.

I had a diamondback and currently have a crossfire on my Benelli r1. I love the Vortex scopes, way nicer than my elite 3200, and almost as nice as my Fullfield II
