Default 2017 mule deer

Filled my tag after chasing this guy for a couple years, he finally came over from the private land with the rut in full swing. Used my Priority 8 and my new creedmoor and had fun chasing him in the fog for an entire day. Honestly a little sad that he won’t be out there anymore.

Ya I know the feeling, you see him, hunt him and then you know the outcome, only a true hunter can appreciate that time, that moment but the old buck passed his genetics so in 7 years it's game on!

Congrats.

Great outcome and great use of a priority 8 draw. And you got em on public land/grazing lease? In my mind that's even better.
Funny about goals and objectives, sometimes it's sad when they're reached.

what zone was this? Looks identical to a buck me and a buddy were chasing as well in 208.

Default thanks guys

Thanks all, and no that buck wasn't in zone 208, it was in a far southern zone on a grazing lease that requires lots of walking which IMO is the best kind. I threw in that bullet pic and forgot to comment, that was the first time I used a Barnes and was happy with the performance.
