If this is the case, just straighten it as you would a clothes hangar, etc. I have had to do this many times and it may require you to do this again. If the 330 is an older one. Dry firing them with a stick doesn't do them much good either..lol..

No, this is one side of a spring, Doug. Don’t ask me how it happened because I have no idea.
I know what you’re saying about the bars getting bent from beaver pushing branches in them and dry firing them with a stick. I’m sure that I have a few small bends in some bars too but nothing drastic that needs repair. I could put the spring in a vice and bend it back into shape but I was wondering if I ought to heat the bend or just bend it back into shape without heating it. I’m thinking that the metal must be hardened steel or something like that.
