Default Fishing Trip Cancelled!

Me and a group of friends were booked for Ena Lake Lodge leaving tomorrow from Edmonton to Uranium City and then float plane to the lodge. We were super excited to go as they had also just opened some virgin, connecting lakes as well. It has hit minus 10 for a few days straight overnight and water and sewer are freezing up. First time in 20 years it's happened this early. Anyway, we're all disappointed as is the lodge operator I'm sure as they're missing out on the revenue from 12 guys for a 5 day trip. I've been told we get dibs on the first spring trip so looking forward to that.....again!

Ahhh that sucks man. Sorry to hear. I suppose mother nature is the one thing we cant rely on. We do a fly in trip every year too and its so exciting leading up to it like christmas!! total bummer. But hey after a long cold winter that trip will be well deserved.

Yeah, first world problems. I just bought that $37 spool of firewire for next spring. It just hurts now.

I know the feeling. I was supposed to be in Texas last winter for a pig hunting trip and the owners bailed on us. Sucks to get your hopes up for a cool trip and then get let down. Hope it all works out for you in the spring!

I say you guys scramble and get something else going to replace it! Grab some quads and drag a tin tippy into Lakeland PP or something 👍🏼
I try to never waste an oppurtunity once I have been given the green light by my wife to disappear for a few nights.
That does suck tho. All the build up and hype and the mat gets pulled right out from under you!
