Default Grease Points Newish Model Trucks

Hello,

Have always taken my truck to mechanic/lube shop to get the oil changes done with the understanding that they would hit all the grease points while under there. Looking into doing my own oil changes and looking for all the grease point locations. After much searching the general consensus I have found is that there aren't any (well at least on newish models).

Any mechanics on here that can help me out? 2008 dodge ram 1500 TRX4

Most likely you have three points to grease. Two are nipples on the outer tie rods (one on each tie rod) and then there is a grease point on front drive shaft that does not have a nipple. You have to use a grease gun needle to get at this lube point. I gave up on the front drive shaft lube because it is a pita to line up the grease point as you have to turn the shaft to exactly the right spot in order to see it. You can google "dodge ram front drive shaft lube" for a look at what has to be done. Lube cycle is every 6k IIRC.

go and get a grease needle. stab it through the boot and fill it a bit. things will last much longer.
none of the new trucks have them
