Default Need Tips for Winter/Snow Trapping!

I am trying to figure out what works best when one has no dry dirt to set traps. I am not sure if snow would work all by itself. That is, set the trap on top of snow, pack snow underneath, and cover lightly with snow?
Thanks,
Chris
I am currently using dirt that is way to heavy/packy when wet, and the traps will not go off.

Default Trapping

My best advise is to buy a FUR FISH AND GAME mag, go to the back page and order the coyote and predetor trapping video. I got them and they helped me the most. shows how to trap with snow and without. Also shows how to snare.
