Default One Dog Down...

I was out for the day looking for a BullWinkle when I ran across a pile of wolf sign on a power line right-of-way. They were heading the same way as me and not long later I caught up with them. They started to high-tail it out of there as soon as they saw me but I managed to put one down and knocked the hair off a second one. I figure there was up to a dozen in the pack. They split in opposite directions east and west of the power line easement. It was pretty cool listening to them call back and forth to each other for the next 15 minutes or so.

Nice!! When you split them like that sit and wait. You will see them coming back to join up.

Nicely done. That will make a nice throw rug.

That's really cool, Positrac!

I found what I thought would be a good wolf spot this fall - will see if they are still around later this Winter, in spite of the increased logging activity.

Excellent shooting. The skull will make a nice display in the man cave.

Congrats on the good shooting. It’s always amazing to see how beautiful a Wolf really is. The moose, deer, and elk will thank you for sure.
