Default 693 Yard Wolf

Shot a wolf today at 693 yards. 5 minutes later got a coyote at same bait. Then a second coyote a couple hours later. Good day. Have video of the wolf chasing the coyotes off the bait.

I am not sure how to post videos. Have the kill shot on video also. Just with I phone through the spotting scope.

Nice wolf and 693 yards that’s a heck of a nice shot what caliber? Just out of curiosity why such a long shot when he was at a bait. Were u just on your way into the bait and he was on it and didn’t wanna risk scaring him off the bait or do u actually set up that far away from your bait?

.300 Rum
That is as close to my house as I can put the bait and see it. I am set up with shooting bench and sand bags to shoot that far no problem. If I tried getting closer I would likely spook them.

Nice, looks like beautiful country you live in from the background in your picture with the wolf. I wish I had that out my back door and what a bonus to be able to have a chance at game like that basically right in your backyard. I’m sure u would much rather have Elk or Deer in your backyard but if u keep thinning out the wolves and coyotes, I’m sure the Elk and Deer will be there.

Nice shooting indeed. Look like a pretty big one. Rare colour. Have noticed their numbers are finally going down and staying down.

Nice shooting, and thanks for posting video. Nice color on him too, do you tan your hides yourself?
