Although he wasn't a monster he had good body mass so I'm sure it's more a picture perspective issue. It was really hard to get any sort of decent shots because the height of the alder.

As most on here, I always look forward to Alpines hunting report and pictures. That looks like one heck of a hunt and a great moose. Congrats and I look forward to the next adventure you go on.

Congratulations. Great photos and story. Two day ride into a new area through two feet of snow makes for a memorable hunt. Talked to you when you were headed in and am glad you were successfull and made it out safe. Those horses would have had quite a load coming out. Take care

Ya, it was quite a long trip out as well..........the horses are in a lot better shape after packing out camp and the moose LOL!!
They handled it well and its a lot easier to keep them motivated on the way out as you know.

I've been looking daily for this adventure to be posted, great post Ken and thanks for sharing this trip with us all. Some amazing country back there and the perfect little camp to stay at. Beautiful moose and congrats on all your success.
