Default Coyote Movements/Snaring during Heavy Snowfall

I set snares 24 hours ago just before it started to dump. There's probably 8-10inches that has fallen and it's still coming. Do coyotes still run their trails during periods of heavy snowfall or are their movements more limited and they wait for it to stop. What have you guys seen when you set just before/during a lot of snow?

You are in the drivers seat now alder . Timed that one perfectly , all tracks you made are cleared out and alot of the scent is washed away . Coyotes will hold up somewhat during the storm but after they will move heavily , sometimes even better the second day after a storm . Expecting some nice catch pics from you in the future .

Nice to have fresh snow to cover your tracks. If you really got a lot of snow you might have to raise your snares a bit though. The coyotes might stand a couple of inches taller now. Check the bottom of a track to see how deep it is and then add 10" from that to the bottom of your snare.

I wouldn't say so ,I had snares that sat empty for 2 weeks AND had refusals on them . Didn't change a thing with them and today it all paid off .
