Default ATA open house

There's an open house at the ATA in Westlock today (Tuesday). From 1 until 7pm. Stop in, visit a bit, bring your fur to the depot, buy supplies or gifts in the store and wish everyone a Merry Christmas.
And to those that are too far away or just can't make it Merry Christmas and have a safe and happy holiday season.
Hope to see you there.
Doug

I'm not sure what all might be planned but I just found out Jackie will be doing coyote skinning demonstrations.

I left at 5 but there was about 40 there at one point. I think it probably got busier later. I counted 34 in the shop watching Jackie skin, he took his time and explained a lot as he skinned and fleshed. Bill and Hunter did a snare making and setting demonstration. Both were a great opportunity to ask questions. I'd say it was well attended, the store is well stocked and some fur was brought in.
On a side note, if you had someone at the youth camp, some of the photos don't have names confirmed. Contact Amelie about that so she can get all the photos out.

Jackie skinning a coyote is always a treat to watch.

He sure is camo, there's always something learn from him.
There is an e-mail newsletter from the ATA out with some interesting stuff. Please make sure you are on the e-mail list, especially those in Greater Edmonton, (maybe I won't have to make 99 phone calls before every meeting).
The forecast is for warmer weather , stay safe.

it was a very good event! Jackie did a great job with the skinning demo. It is always good to talk trapping with fellow trappers. Hopefully hold this event again.
Big thanks to the ATA and staff
