I did not intend to insinuate anything. I showed how his looks changed over the years, nothing more. You are extrapolating my posting of two images of Willie into something that couldn't be farther from the truth. The images depict the contrast between his home boy looks when he was young to those of his road worn rebel pot smoking hard working partying guy looks in his older years. He is proud of it and I applaud him for being his own person and not bending over to conform to the status quo of the times.
Your words described him as a "hollow husk of a human being", not mine, so maybe you should spend a moment getting your accusations straight. Is that what
you see in the picture? I see something completely different....a guy that can stand on his own and say FU to the people who view his lifestyle as wrong or inappropriate.
Willie is a self professed pot smoker with his own brand, Willie’s Reserve . He chooses to be open about his use thus the reason he has allowed himself to have images such as the one I posted taken and used freely on the internet. He couldn't give a rats **** ass what you or I think about him.
BTW I met the guy in the 80's when him, Waylon and Jessi Colter did their gig at the Commonwealth Stadium. I was doing security for the Druids Rugby club who would complement the police security at the time. Being a guy on the smaller scale I was given the opportunity to do backstage media pass security at most gigs so as not have to be exposed to any violence. I met quite a few performers over the 3 or 4 years I did this job, Willie being one of them. I had the pleasure of speaking with him for maybe 20 seconds prior to the band heading for the stage ramp. He struck up a simple conversation and it blew my mind; don't remember to the day what he even said to me. I was in the pit afterwards, front stage, watching them perform. Lets just say it more than solidified my position as a fan and I have been one ever since.
