Default Kinnaird

Has anyone been out to Kinnaird recently?
Can it be accessed with side by side or is a sled needed?
Can you ride in from the Jackson Lake staging area?
I have never been there and would like to go. Any help would be appreciated.

Haven't been there this year, but it can be accessed with sled or side by side for sure. You can come from the Jackson side or the Blackett side. I've also done the bush trail from Touchwood to Dabbs to Kinnaird. All accessible by sled/ATV.

I'll be planning a trip out there later too. Spend tons of time there in the summer but never been in the winter. I plan on going in from Helena to Blackett then on from there. I'm taking a sled so traveling is fast.
Check out this map if you haven't already:

Have fun!

Let me know how much snow is on the ice up there. Should I be packing the sled or the quad?

Thanks.

Made it onto touchwood with my pickup, if that counts. Lol. Can kind of manover around the ice pileup with a small pickup. Fishing sucked though.

4-8" somewhat drifted but not too bad. Didn't go to far on the lake, fished close to the campsite
