Exclamation Heads Up! Draw Application Deadline: Expired, Too Late :(

Just in case anyone has been putting off their draws, get them in tonight or forever hold your complaining

Got them in a couple of weeks ago...now I have to wait to find out if I can get my sheep.

And when the waiting ends, the celebrating, and the complaining begin.

So, if it’s all done online why wouldn’t we know today the results...?

The computer needs time alone to think.

I hate to break it to you, but if you missed it you didn’t build any priority points this year...

I'm only guessing, but... the outfit that handles the draws does them all over North America. I would assume they book computer time well in advance and allow time between the results to deal with the "complaints" they receive each year. like I said, only a guess.

I would guess that the results need to be reviewed and verified accurate by actual people.. Like you, Im just thinking out loud.

Do you really have to ask this question when government of any type is involved?

Theres no such thing as rushing the entitled, I've got a job forever just as long as I keep my head down types.

Government employees are a lot like gophers in a pasture. Those that stay underground and don't get any bright ideas to be anything but fat, lazy, mindless gophers, watching others do their work for them and never raising their heads to look around, live to see another day. Those that get bored with routine and tired of lieing around in the dark getting a fat arse, and have big ideas to take a peek out at the sunshine and explore new worlds, get sniped.

There are a lot of fat, content gophers in government.

Very wide brush your using to paint government employees, no different than all hunters being painted as poachers....

I know previously IBM had the contract to do the draw system, not sure if there is another service provider now, but the government to my understanding does not provide this specific service.

It's a very wide pasture. Not many entrepreneurial gophers. The word is actually taboo amongst the long term gopher leaders.

"Keep you head and arms down son." "You'll be around a long time."

I've paid into it for 40+ years via private business, unlike many of the "gophers", and haven't been on the dole for 5 seconds. Damn rights I'll be taking everything I'm owed along with everything I've socked away into personal pension contributions.

Could never work for government. Two of those words have no business even being in the same sentence. Too entrepreneurial and client service oriented to be a gopher. I wouldn't last long at all.

Not far off the truth.
But gov wages are usually quite lower than entrepreneurs type.

What I would like to see is all government workers make the same wage. From secretaries to managers.
That amount is based on the budget proposed, split evenly.
If the work doesn’t all get done, then you can hire more but that comes out of the salary pot. So everyone’s wage goes down a bit. I think you would find a nice balance very quick.

You truly sound bitter.

Not at all. He made a statement about me taking my govt pension. Why wouldn't I being it was my money in the first place?

If you meant my comments on govt employees....that shouldn't even require an explanation.

I seen this just as much in the private sector. Just making more money is all. Maybe it's a human thing.
