Meh, who needs pointy objects to inflict bodily harm. Good old rock always wins...

UK is a joke on so many levels. A friend saw and recorded a demonstration in London which turned out to be a euphoric celebration of the life of Saddam Hussein...

Stupidity

Stuff like this happens because smart people allow it.

Im surprised they didnt legislate butchers to cube everything to avoid the need of knives altogether....

Cubed to very specific dimensions to avoid choking. But in case of choking, EVERYONE shall be trained in the Heimlich.......But we are changing the name from Heimlich to Hemlock so as not to offend Jews by insinuating Germans actually save lives. Hemlock? Yeah thats pretty safe cause no one cares if witches are offended. Im pretty sure about that.....

Better take away her rolling pin as well, the classical woman weapon.

We need to switch to those cardboard, paper thingies like we have for water. Safe enough , even a prime minister can use them.

So since most of the stuff is coming down to utility knives how do these mental midgets think that is going to stop that?

The resident single use anti christ and his brain cell deprived following love to appear to doing something while doing absolutely nothing other than hampering the honest guy trying to make a living ..,.....

What next..... banning single use toilet paper

Just wait til someone gets brained with a coffee table or chair.

Houses will be properly internally padded and furniture bolted down for peoplekind's own good.

You can't even buy knives online and have them shipped to your home, they have to be sent to a store where you go to pick them up, and only if you are over 18.

And don't forget the ban on 'Zombie Knives'. I guess they thought they would be laughed at if they called them 'assault knives'.

Hahaa -- forgot that

True story -- my wife has a small travel kit that goes with her everywhere. In it is one of those white plastic knife and fork sets that you get with take out food. Edmonton Airport security took her white plastic knife away as it was called a knife. Common sense left the world a while back.

I thought you were joking and did a quick search. WOW

Banned --- what is a Zombie that it needs a special knife?

"zombie knives - a knife with a cutting edge, a serrated edge and images or words suggesting it is used for violence"

Charges and court

The number of knife-related homicides went from 272 in 2007 to 186 in 2015. Since then it's risen every year, with a steep increase in 2017-18, when there were 285 killings, the highest figure since 1946.

Hitting bottom is happening faster than I thought. This is good, the reset might happen when I'm still around. I can die knowing my kids might just have a chance.

It's staggering the level of stupidity in the UK. Why we don't see more folks moving here from there I can't understand. why live in such a state of control. Bunch of wackos.

Canadian cities are hiring a fair number of British cops and unfortunately they are bringing that attitude with them.

I wonder if anything else might have changed in the UK since the spike in knife related crime began? Sometimes statistics like that can help to figure out what might be the cause of this spike in violence. It just seems odd to me that there would be so much more knife crime for no reason starting in 2007 and steadily increasing ever since....

This one is easy.

Killing a person with a knife gets you a shorter sentence than if you use a gun.

When the UK imposed stricter gun control and penalties for firearms offences, the punks turned to knives.
