I Just purchased a .450 xlr Marlin Guide Gun in Stainless Steel,i am having difficulty figuring out which scope i should put on it?Anybody have any Suggestions?
I have a Leupold vx1 2-7 power on a guide gun and its pretty good, also have a 336 with a 1-3 power weaver on it and it is nice in close stuff. Both worth around $250.
Bushnell's 3200 series has a 1.75x4.5 that's within your budget. I haven't personally used the 3200 scopes but my brother has a couple and he's very pleased with them. The optics are bright to me and adjustments are repeatable.

Definately a nice small low power. In a leupold a fixed 2.5 or a nice used 1.5 X 5. Best bang for the buck new might be the weaver 1 X 3, my buddy had one, very nice optics for the price. I wouldn't go any bigger than 2 X 7 just like everyone else has suggested. Some decent eye relief would be a plus on that unit as well.
