Default loads for 22-250 ?

Hi all, just want to know what you guys/gals load for a 22-250. I'll will be using 50gr or 55gr bullets, win brass and cci 200 primers. Any suggestions or tips would be great.
Thanks lonewolf

Every rifle is different, so what works for one guy might not work for you. My current 22-250 load is a 55 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip over 40.5 gr of Win 760 (close to max in my rifle), CCI 200 primers, and Remington brass. Most 22-250 rifles have a relatively slow twist, so usually bullets in the 40-55 gr range shoot best.

I'm using 55 gr. Hornady V-Max Moly coated in combination with Varget powder.
The Varget is a temperature stable powder which is important if you're warm weather gopher hunting and cold weather coyotin'; definitely worth a try.

i did a load test with bullets against the rifling.. the 4064 fared well and was leavin a pressure mark that went away wen i backed them away.... it is not to say the varget or the H380 would tighten up also with a bit more powder....

What kind of bullets were you using with the 4064?

Thanks everyone for the tips. I'll be checking out some of these combinations to see which works best for me.

I've had great results with Varget in my 22-250.
40gr. V-max's
50gr. Opel's
55gr. V-max mollied.

Seat to just shy of the lands, follow good load development criteria, and it will get you some good shooting.

35.2gr (+/- a few tenths) of Hodgdon H380 with 55gr Hdy V-Max groups well at 100 and 200yds in my rifle. I worked this up in cold weather and have no idea how pressures play out in July heat.

Various load weights of Varget work well on Nosler 52gr Match HPBT, in all weather conditions.
