Default Busnell Elite 6500 or ??

Yesterday in Edmonton gun show, I bought Ruger 10/22 and now I need a scope for Ruger

Now, I also have Tikka 22-250 and it has Shepherd 3-10x40 on it. Shepherd scope works great on Tikka but I feel like I need more magnification for 22-250. I am thinking to move/mount Shepherd on Ruger 10/22 and buy a new one for 22-250.

I can't decide which scope would be good for 22-250? I saw Bushnell elite 6500 4.5-30x50 at WSS for $800 and it looks good to me but I have always used Leupold and never used Bushnell before

I will appreciate any advice from people who have 6500 or have 22-250. Also is 4.5-30x50 TOO MUCH for 22-250?

Default 6500

The new Bushnell offering is getting rave reviews, optically seems very nice.
My 22-250 has a 6-18 on it and my 260 has a 6.5-20x50 on it. You can put that big Bushnell on your 22-250 easy. P&D will have one if WSS doesn't. FS

I have 3 Leupold VXIII's 4.5-14x40mm and the Bushnell 4200 series are hands down brighter and sharper. I do however like the varmint, and boone and crockett reticles in them. I would say go for the 6500 if you are going to spend the money, and get the mil-dot reticle.
