Default Carson Lake

I was there on Monday and getting on to the lake wasn't bad, a very small portion of it is drive-able near the boat launch. Getting off the lake was a small problem, there's bad ruts at the bottom of the boat launch, took me a bit of work to get back up from the launch but made it with 4x4
Caught 5 suckers all between 8 and 10 inches and 1 smaller trout in 6 hours.
Lots of suckers in there, they're going to have to kill off the lake to get rid of them

We've fished it 3 times since mid Feb, lots of snow hard to get on for sure. Weve used the snowmobile, or walked with toboggans. Have had decent luck. Caught a couple 17.5" and a couple 16.5", we haven't caught one sucker. Last time out had the otters about 30 yrds from us. In 3 trips we have caught a total of 19 trout between the 2 of us.

Sorry, the lake was killed off because of the suckers and pike
and restocked when they built the park.
I worked on the whole project from killing off to building the park in 1980.

True, but they never stocked suckers 40 years ago.

There was always suckers in Carson. The lake was killed off because of pike the suckers live in all the creeks so they were bound to get in the lake again. There population must be getting a little higher cause I here lots caught now.

Another fish that is in Carson is ling cod there isn’t very much of them but they are in there and that one I have no explanation.
