Same here. A moment of silence standing beside it, appreciating the challenge that it presented to me in tracking it down to harvest it; and the beauty of the animal. Organs are bagged first, if that counts as a "ritual."

I also have a nice couple of fingers of chilled single-malt Islay scotch before I start butchering.
