Default Done for the season.

Cleaned up my snares today. Another season in the books. Ended up with 83 coyotes, but interestingly, not one fox?

In my area the foxes got hit with mange. From what I've read it can have up to 80% mortality on the population. Might explain it. I'm out Botrell/Water Valley way.

My fox have yet to recover from the last hard winter and coinciding heavy population of coyotes. Maybe next year?

I'd rather catch coyotes than fox tho.

Good job trigger , hope the auction is good to you . I caught 2 fox this year and they will be tanned, not giving them away like I did last year when selling .

I'll be pulling my snares next week when it's mild. I would have liked to go to the bitter end but the warm weather coming convinced me to pull the plug. I caught three fox last season and Zero fox this season despite seeing them. They don't like my snares I guess.

Good job trigger.
I'm heading up Fri to Valleyview to pull ours for the season.
A total disaster for us so far, zero critters in 4 weeks.
Fri will be our 4th check on our 48 snares. Can't believe our bad luck.
Last Jan Feb we got 6 yote, a wolf and a lynx, not that good and thought it could only get better.
Maybe there are a few waiting for me on Fri, here's hoping.

Good luck T, we are west of 43, it was a real slow marten season and the wolves are teaching us a lesson every time out. We set 60 sets and had many checks with nothing. Going to have to give the area a rest I guess. Going up Thursday to check snares. But still, a day on the line beats anything else.

I caught 23 fox last year.
I'm only at 8 so far this year which is about average.
