Yeah- Whitemud is South of Long, and east of the town of Newbrook. Just a tiny lake right off of the gravel road.

I was at Whitemud 15+ years ago and it was in the process of being winter killed. I believe there is a creek or spring on the west side were millions of perch were huddle up and guys were scooping them out with nets. I've never been back but I can only assume the lake has come back.

I fished Whitemud this spring. Lots of Pike. Only fished a few hours, but was busy the whole time. Biggest was a 7lbs. Anyone know how much ice is on it?

Default Whitemud

Whitemud has 10-12" of ice and its really slushy around the shore, be careful. The regs say only Pike in this lake and I have never caught or seen anything but.
It's a shallow small lake, I think it winter kills often, I know Long does once every 20 Years or so.

Long Lake has 12" with lots of people out for the Perch, i'm not sure how the bite is.
