Default Chain Lakes

Looking to get out and get some fish for X-mas eating... Anyone know what the conditions at Chain Lakes are (ice)? Or anywhere else within 45 minutes of Calgary??? Help greatly appreciated...

Haven't been south yet - but east and west of the city, the ice is thick, so you should be good to go...

watch that lake for ice thickness,,,if you follow the east side and head north you can turn into little coves,,there is lots of beaver in these and the movement of the beavers keeps the ice real thin so be very careful. gl
