Has anybody ever fished Cree Lake before. What are the best ways to catch lakers there? Thanks.

If spinning you can't go wrong with Black and Yellow 5 of diamonds.

Depends on the time of year. Second - third +- and you can find them in as little as 4' of water. Later in the year you'll obviously be fishing to as deep as 60 - 70 feet. Anything that gets you down there from a pink lady to a downrigger trolling, although you'll need to watch the reef depths, to a heavy jig will get the job done. Not super difficult.

I prefer Reindeer for lakers and Cree for big pike. Outstanding pike fishing on Cree.

We actually fished Cree about a month about. I was just wondering what others had experienced in the past. We were catching them in 100-130’ of water. 10 ounce banana sinkers with big spoons or flatfish. We caught some big trout. Up to 38 lbs. I personally wouldn’t use downriggers there if I could, because of all the reefs that change depths suddenly. You rip the ball right off the boat.
