It went.
But I did end up renting a vehicle as opposed to a motorbike due to all the hurdles with a bike ( $5000 damage deposit, they needed a travel plan and had to stay off main areas due to bike theft)
Probably a good thing as things are so much different there. Traffic is bumper to bumper everywhere.
But great trip overall and completed what I wanted to do.
Got up every morning at 4am and in the road for 4-6 hours and then different BnB every night.
If I did do a bike trip in future, I would do it as part of a tour.
Couple pointers:
Everything is paid by visa there, cash is not needed.
Tipping is not common
London is dirty.
Public transit ( trains, rental bicycles) are amazing
Food is terrible except seafood and vegetables/strawberries.
Everything is same price as here but you pay in pounds so you lose on exchange
Tourist trap stuff is waste of time. Every little coastal town has interesting stuff to see.
Couple notes:
Saw black crowes in concert last day in London and Jimmy Page walked right past me.
On flight home, the English guy beside me was same age, same job and he just quit his job and in transition and coming to Canada for a two week vacation before starting new job. This was the exact same thing I was doing but in reverse.
It was great to travel my way, and just dealt with problems as they came up and didn’t have to be responsible for anyone else.
Total cost was about $4,000 for everything for 14 day trip.
