I have found winter to be substantially more bearable when it doesn’t begin till 2/3 the way through January rather than November.

-35 here at the shack just south of Meadow lake sask..last night my indoor/outdoor thermometer reading said -30 outside...and +30 inside....ahh the warmth of a fire in a tiny home...priceless!
Lotsa wood in the shed so we are good till summer, then back to golf...I hope!

I was at a rig at 1am this morning and it was -33 without the wind. I had to be outside for 10 minutes and froze my baguettes off! The boys on the rig must’ve been icy. And some people say riggers get paid too much!

They earn every last penny. Three weeks on a service rig in January 1987 taught me that lesson very well.

It wasn't bad here this morning at -21, but any colder, and I will be breaking out the long underwear to run my dog.

Wake up call for me today.
All the warm weather had me not splitting wood like I normally would.

Splitting all day now.

Oh well, cant believe the cold held off for this long.
