Looks Like Gas is going to take a Jump
Noticed a few stations that were 93.9 yesterday are at 106.9 this morning. I know Esso and PeeCan stations have tried to jack the price a couple of times recently, that didn't work, so hopefully this one doesn't either but I filled up at 89.9 just in case.

The Turd's carbon tax is supposed to kick in for 7-8 cents a liter sometime soon

If you look at the actual stats here, gas, though it fluctuates has remained pretty stable for the last 10 years. https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/t1/tbl1...201%2C20201201
I’m more concerned with my grocery bill, which has increased 50% in the last 10 years.
And my utilities bill, though that I blame more on privatization than actual increases in commodity prices.

distribution charges etc. My utilities drastically jumped with Ralph. But remember, industry is always cheaper and always more efficient. Maybe, but industry wants as large a profit as the market will bear.

Very valid point. We don't spend on gas anywhere near what we do on food and food went up 30% in the last year alone. I feel very sorry for people on fixed incomes or folks with two or three teenagers, the price increases must be just killing them.

Don’t I know it...we have 18 and 20 year old boys ar home.
I swear to god there have been times I go to bed at night with a full fridge and it’s empty the next morning 😂
Gas prices are the least of my problems!

Lol my buddy also has 2 teens and he says exactly the same thing. He adds that he swears he can hear their jaws chewing the food at night....
I told him to put a padlock on a fridge. He said they will most likely chew thru it!

Thank you, that’s the biggest issue that no one seems to realize! Blinded by the carbon tax but realistically our food is costing so much more and coming from farther and farther away for the same products.

Been watching it in Lacombe, been 99.9 for regular, 119.9 for premium.
Ten cents less for each at RD Costco.

Costcos in Edm and St Albert are still holding at 89.9 and there are still lots of non-Esso stations at 93.9-95.9. Hopefully this is a sign that no one else is following Esso, Hughes and PeeCan. Should know for sure by tomorrow.

It's been jumping up and down for about 10 days here, was 93.9 then 96.9 then at shell 2 days ago it was 99.9 then I noticed this morning shell was back to 96.9, probably cause nobody else in town followed them to 99.9 ??
