It was the end of jujar when 30 other teams knew he couldn’t skate in the NHL and didn’t pick him up. I have stated here in the past if he was ever put on waivers he wouldn’t get picked up.

Yup. A few guys like that. Chaisson is another one
Sure a good defence for Montreal. Big and know how to move the puck down the ice

Oilers are using that time management app on McDavid like the Raptors did a couple years ago. Gotta keep your Top Guns rested during season, to have them FRESH for the playoff run

Terrible at both ends of the ice tonight, never won one puck battle, chased the game for 60 minutes and the score reflected that

I see Athenasiou lit the lamp last night... lol
Solid 30 point guy for the last few years and we only played him 9 games.
I’m fairly certain we didn’t hear the whole story as to why he left. Me thinks he wanted out and demanded it...

Athenasiou and that "type" of player isn't going to help the oil with their biggest problem. D zone coverage, neutral zone turnovers, and lack of grit. Oil score plenty of goals, we allow wayyyyy to many against. Its been like that since 2006.

Clearly the blender line combinations need to stop. Boys can't get any chemistry going. Get Nuge back on with Dri and Yamo and keep cycling thru the roster until we find someone who clicks with McJesus.

Bear looks out of shape and just awful.

Nothing he did in those 9 games, or the 75 before that, came anywhere close to justifying a 3 Mil cap hit. The Covid situation sucked, and losing those draft picks for basically nothing really sucks, but 100% the right move by Holland IMHO.

I know you love to focus on the negative, even if you have to create it yourself, but he didn’t have to demand anything. Just say no to the offer and let the chips fall. He chose to bet on himself...and if the rumours about what the Oilers offered are true, he lost big time.

He got the kind of money you get for maybe putting up +/- 30 pts while being a total defensive liability. They can have him. Not what the Oilers need. I don’t miss him.

Not good enough any night. As much as I would like to see the Oiler's win, they don't have the depth in their team. It's not being critical, just realistic.

Agree. If you really watch this team closely they have issues that have been a constant for years. I know the game and I’m concerned about goaltending for one but that defence is god awful. We will win a ton of games when the forwards are flying but thats only like 5 guys that contribute up front. Nurse was aweful and bear was running all over the place. Just my opinion

Game day!! Has Holland coaxed anyone out of retirement yet to help Koskinen rest that 50lb glove hand every once in a while? I hear Jimmy Howard turned him down pretty quick and didn’t even mull it over. Very interesting situation to say the least.

Looks like Bear is benched along with Jones tonight. Bear was bad last game as I mentioned before but Nurse was terrible. I sure hope he can get it together. Also word oilers might acquire Aaron Dell from the Sharks

Dell was claimed by New Jersey, if he reports he will have to quarantine if traded to the Oilers
