Default The Brick buys fur?

My wife is a high school math teacher. She had a student tell her that he has some kind of youth trapping license, he can sell his furs to Hudsons Bay through the Brick Store in Athabasca, he puts some kind of tattoo on his furs to identify them. He told her he saw a yote fur he sold for $50 on a coat in The Bay in Calgary. Anyone hear of anything like this? I called BS from the start, my wife says he has nothing to gain from making up the story so why lie? I know the long list of problems with the story, anyone got insights into its legitimacy?

My guess someone that works at the brick personally buys his furs and sends them to auction

If he is prepping the dog fully for auction ihe is getting ripped off for 50$

Not sure how he would see a mark on a jacket tho because there would be no exposed hide on a coat

I'd say he is bsing your wife

If he is selling fully auction ready dogs for 50$ you should get a fur buyer licenses and start buying them up and flipping them for 100+

Active imagination. He may sell coyotes to someone that works at the Brick but I don't know how he'd be able to tell which fur is his, tattoo or not.
