Default Safes

Hey folks, I'm looking to get a cheap little gun safe, I don't need anything fancy and do not want to spend a lot of money but I would like something of decent quality.
Any opinions would be much appreciated.
Thanks a lot!

And the Costco one comes on sale every six months or so if you can wait. If you go to the front desk they can usually tell you when. IIRC I got mine $50 off last summer.

just looked on the costco website and the sentry firesafe retails for over a grand so I will assume this is not the one that goes for 330. Do they have more in the store than the four on the webpage? I am not a member so cant just pop in and look. thanks

I think the safe on costco's website is the same safe. The difference is the website price includes shipping for 275 pounds.

I have a Stack-On 14 gun safe. I really like it and it's not one of those glorified filing cabinets. But if you're looking for something fire rated, there are no cheap safes. Once you have a good safe, the money you spent will come back to you as peace of mind.

I have the stack on safes too as being I am too far away from a fire hall anyway there is no way the fire safe would prevent my guns from being damaged so I saved the money and spent it on guns and ammo. I also built some shelves in my 10 cabinet for storage.
here is the link of the pics of my cabinet setup.
Work real well for ammo ect, I have T100 steel Bolted to the bottom to the floor so if they wanna steel it they will need big arms

The 30 minute fire rating is only a manufacturers rating not a UL rating. Independently tested vs UL tested, just a heads up from a safe and vault technician.

So is that a good thing or bad thing I know from past experiences it takes 40 mins to get to my farm cause they are volunteer so you have to tack on an extra 10 to 15 min to get to the hall Ect. Also I have insurance on the guns so I'd rather spend the money on other stuff. But a nice vault room would be great rather then cabinets.
