Default Wildcat stocks ?

I am wondering if anyone has experience using Wildcat stocks ? I have two M700 Remingtons with cheap plastic stocks that I want to replace. One is SPS in 25.06 and the other is a semi-custom XCR in 7mm STW. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have used quite a few of them. They are super light, stiff, and best of all made locally. If you are handy and do the work yourself, they are also very affordable. If you don't want it super light, Stuart can add more layers of glass to build it out at whatever weight you're looking for.

Default wildcat stocks

Hi there,
I have three wildcat composites. I have a model seven in one. A Winchester model 70 in a Remington wildcat and a Remington 700 in a vartac. They are all great stocks in my opinion. Very rigid and I love the way they feel, the palm swells and forends fit me really well. As well they are lightweight. I absolutely would not hesitate to get another one.

Thanks for the replies guys. Are they drop in or do I need to take them to a smith ? I've never done any bedding so I guess i'll be learning how.

They are typically sold as blanks. However I think Stuart will sell them in different stages of completion. (filled and sanded) Best to have a look at his website, it answers most questions you migh have. Google wildcat composites.

I have a Wildcat Vartac stock for my 7mm mag. The stock tracks incredible and gun is a laser to 1000 meters and beyond. I will be buying more to convert some of my other guns over. Great choice and a Canadian company to boot...pretty hard to beat that.

From what I've read on the net and what guys have said on here, sounds like they are very good stocks.

I have only used three or four but I like them just fine. They are at least as good as the Bansner stocks and maybe a bit better. Not fancy at all but a good, strong, and stable platform. Leeper

I looked at some Bob at Custom Gunworx had last month, I was surprised, they looked like a very decent stock.
