Good work, you should include a little tutorial on your setup and how you made it.

Happy fishing.

I’d definitely be interested. I’ve built a few similar devices but your trigger setup looks a little more refined than what I did.

Takes some tweaking for sure but it's working great, I cant wait to try it on some bigger fish here right away!

I would definitely be interested in seeing how you made your trigger device. My son has a Jaw Jacker but has also been trying to build a home-made one....and the trigger is causing him much grief. Even a couple of close up pictures with a list of supplies you used would be great. Thanks for sharing.

Looks a lot like the automatic fisherman as well as a jaw jacker. Ton's of videos's on utube showing how to make them. One of my fishn bud's has had a few of them for several yrs. and they seem to work OK and very cheap to build.

I just recently got myself a 3d Printer, a couple of these are in my future once I get to using the more outdoor capable plastics.

Here's a slightly out of focus pic of my home made jaw jacker. It's just a piece of bent coat hanger with a leader attached to a cheap folding wire rod holder that I had laying around.

I can't believe how well this works! I get a near perfect hook set in the lip almost every time, even when the lure gets hammered hard by a pike. Very rarely are they hooked deep in the mouth.

It took a while to get the bends just right so that it works well. I built a few and one works better than the others and the bends are only slightly different.

I can change the length of the wire leader to increase or decrease the tension on the rod and get a harder or lighter hook set.
