20 Something Women and Older Men

I am noticing this more and more and wondering if this is becoming
a trend among younger women.

For instance, a fellow I work with who is 55 is dating a 28 year old woman and it was initiated by the woman.

Also, I have been propositioned numerous time in the past couple of years by women young enough to be my daughter (less than half my age).

There's probably a variety of reasons... Some women may consider older guys to be more financially secure, or more assured of what they want in life and less likely to be looking around for other options.

Older men tend to have been on their own long enough to be housetrained as well.

In my case, I look young for my age.

Actually the 28 year old woman I mentioned has twice as much money as the older guy - so I can't say its all about money.

we learn as we grow and why not? I'm even for the other way around if it keeps you happy. A cousin and I both have older women.

Me too. but then I stopped and thought about it and realized that a smile and a "Hi, how are you today?" really only constitutes a proposition in Okotokian's imaginary alternate universe.

Some guys have such fragile egos they never learn.
Plenty of gold diggers out there. These chicks still like to hang out around railroad crew change points looking for the old boys with big salaries and big impending pensions. They're probably everywhere where old boys have the big resource paychecks too.

Some guys should be reading this recent thread before thinking with the other head.

What are your rights when a common law partner cleans out a joint account and your whole house!

Pretty common especially where ecconomies are shakey and security is hard to find.

See it all over the place in Europe.
Its just been less common here over the last few decades than it was way back when.

And if money is not the driver for these age skewed romances perhaps it lies in the fact that no matter how brutal and tedious the relationship- the old guy will soon be dead.

She can then play the martyr widow and grab another loveable curmudgeon with one foot on the grave.
And due to the prevalence of single parent homes in the last 20 years- perhaps they are truly seeking the father figure-they may not have had.

I'm 41 and my woman is 50.
A friend of mine is the same age and his woman is 53.

Of course woman know they can have it all these days.
Financial stability is tops with many of them.

Don't for a minute think a wealthy hard working young man in Alberta doesn't have a target on his back. Same goes for the 50 some year old who isn't getting attention at home, because he worked 70's all his life, and now he realizes he doesn't know his wife.
So, he starts again and likes the attention he gets.

People can be dumb at any age.
