Smart dogs. Folks are amazed how well mine is trained. And amazing, loving family dogs. But they need their daily exercise.

Just wondering.
Thanks

Is it even possible to wear them out? My friend in Calgary has a pure breed, that little thing will run for hours on end.

I know nothing of Jack Russells so can't say. Weekdays he gets a quick 15 minutes in the morning and an hour in the afternoon, both off-leash. On weekends he gets an hour in the morning and an hour in the afteroon or evening, again both off leash so he can run and explore forests/fields. If someone wanted to just give him a leashed walk for 20 minutes a day it would kill him. He would happily go on 10 walks a day. This dog regularly jumps the 5 foot fence at the dog park to go out and find partridge and gophers. LOL

Hey the wife is away this week, she won't notice the extra dog and besides Brit's are more to the size she wanted, my LM turned out a little too big for her taste.
Only 4 years early for the possible second dog, she won't mind.
Little dynamos is the best way to describe a Brit.

I can only imagine the puppy face on a 9 week old pup, shouldn't be a tough sell.

As a husband still successfully living in his wife's house I would have to decline , that I am not sure I have the energy for a brit.
I think my next dog is going to have a beard.

when mine was a puppy he'd get almost 3 hours a day. You'd get him dead tired, 15 min power nap and good to go again. Now that he's a bit older, he's slowed down a bit, but he'll still go longer than I will and usually at a dead run.
I've had him swim beside the canoe for the better part of 2 hours (he was pretty tired after that)
That being said, he's an awesome dog, smarter than is good for him and you couldn't ask for more bird drive. He'll stand and stare at a bird on a tree branch for ever
Great dog all around!

We would be interested but we are FULL
We already have three Britts. That's a whole lot of crazy for one house.
I would get another one in a heartbeat. Thankfully there are bylaws in place that help keep my addiction in check

Just got back from running mine for the second time with the quad that makes 5 miles by quad and 2 miles on foot and we are not done for the day but it is what makes her happy and the walking doesn't hurt me. They are high maintenance in the excersise area but it is all worth it when i get her out hunting she as actually gotten really good at making water retrieves which i never did any work with her on. They are what you make them
