Default How many pairs of footwear!....what is your ff quotient....

We always talk about how many guns, or if you could only have three guns etc.... what you would choose....

Here is a new one!.... How many pieces of footwear do you have and what you use them for...

This kind of came up in discussion with she who must be obeyed!....

I will start:

general hiking boots for outdoors
Camo hunting Boots/hikers
Steel toed hikers for work
Steel toed boots with 6" ankles for on location
pair of mukluks for when it is cold
Sorel snowmobile boots,
felt lined rubber boots
two pairs of dress shoes
two pairs of general runners for everyday use, (hard to find good ones so I always buy a spare pair when I buy runners).

That is 11 pairs, now I compare to how many firearms I own I look and see I have.... 10 firearms....

Thus my firearm footwear quotient is 10 firearms to 11 footwear thus it is

10/11

Thus logically this means I need one more firearm....

What is your ff quotient?

Is it supposed to be a 1 to 1 ratio? If you see a nice new gun can you just buy some flip flops to justify it?

"But Honey, think of the flip flops!"

On the other hand, if firearms to shoes are supposed to be a 1-1 ratio, then your Mrs is likely to be much better armed......

I wouldn't even try to do a count on how many pairs of footwear I own. Comfortable/practical footwear is high on my priority list, and I feel that depending on the activity and the weather you need the proper footwear to do the job.
One thing that has never entered my mind is a firearm to footwear ratio.

Get with the program chickie. Lol

I buy runners constantly. 6 months at the gym and they are done. If I like them, they become my outdoor grass cutting runners. If not, they get garbaged.

1 pair runners
1 pair cleats
1 pair hiking boots
1 pair work/dress shoes
1 pair wading boots
1 pair muck boots

6 firearms

Ratio of 1. The way it should be. (2 bows as well...didn't include them -- if they count, then it's 4/3)

Default Like to keep things simple

Don't need "runners" (not running) or cleats (not playing) any more. While there are numerous long unworn beater pieces in the closets, including numerous sports shoes and dress shoes, all I actually wear are;
2 pairs Merell hikers (one new day to day, one old for wading and digging/mowing)
2 "dress" shoe pairs (one basic tough comfortable day to day, one expensive "fancy" for special occasions)
1 pair lined rubber and leather winter boots (for shovelling in really cold weather, ice fishing)
1 pair "deck" shoes (occasional casual)
The rest have not been put on for many years.
5 firearms - 6 footwear.

Hahaha. The only sweatpants I have get worn with my cleats. Playing Ultimate when the temp is 6º, and the wind is 60 km/h requires long pants.
