Hmm, suspect(s) in this one not found, copycat river?? (the poor journalism typos and bad use of English are straight from the cut & paste):

http://www.660news.com/2015/07/26/ca...and-run-crash/

Calgary police have a bit of a mystery on their hands.

Around 3:30 Sunday morning a stolen Jeep was involved in a hit and run crash in the southeast community of Queensland. Not long after, the vehicle was discovered in the Bow River.

“It picks up a high speed, goes into the Deer Run area, the helicopter picks it up in the river at this point. By that time they’ve made it into the river and it’s almost submerged,” explains CPS Staff Sergeant Paul Wyatt.

“CPS found a car in the river, we went and did the initial search to make sure there was no one in the vehicle, then our aquatics rescue team stood by while the tow truck was brought in to removie it,” shares Fire Battalion Chief Al Magwood

Police don’t know how many people were in the stolen vehicle as it entered the river they managed to evade the canine unit which was also dispatched.

Anyone with information is asked to call police

I have an idea, how about we require that all fleeing criminals headed for a river be pursued by a member of the NDP party.

We could kill two birds with one stone, hypothetically speaking of course.
