That didn't take long, I am sure legislators are working around the clock trying to keep up with the development of these things and what restrictions to put on them as they progress.

I can see so many good applications for them, search and rescue, already saw some real estate vids on acreages, law enforcement. Unfortunately lots of bad uses for them to, going to be interesting.

The US gov is already sweating about drones, as they no longer have a monopoly on them, everyone else is getting them now. And they are trying to build defensive measures against them.

No surprise, electromechanically it wouldn't be hard to get it to fire. Aiming would be accomplished with a laser sight. Highly likely something similar has been used by intelligence agencies for precise kills.

Technology has eclipsed our thought process regarding consequences.

I foresee a ban...for all but police organizations of course. Wouldn't want the population to be equivalent to our overlords.

Default Years ago

I saw a youtube video of a big RC helicopter with a shotgun rigged up on it.

This is nothing new.

That show Sons of Gun or whatever it was did this 3 years ago. They aimed the pistol almost straight down and had a camera lined up on the iron sights so they could aim it. This is old news.

I hope they do ban these things. I really don't care about the vids and pics people can get. I don't like the idea of everyone and their dogs being able to fly one of these over me and mine and frankly there is zero "need" in society for these things. We are going to far with this techno crap. As I hypocritically sit here and type this I this, I also believe it is all of our best interest of the whole grid shut down. The bad out ways the good far too much IMO.
Social media,
Flying cameras and guns,
NDP.......

They all need to just go bye bye.

Default It didn't take long

I don't think this type of thing will help us law abiding gun owners either.

Who needs a drone with a gun when there's sorority's to fly it past with a GoPro instead? Those pillow fights won't film themselves you know......

Pretty sure in about 1980 somebody attached a gun to their RC Car.

Fast forward 35 years and some kid attaches a gun to his RC helicopter.

Yawn. Eventually we will walk by these things at the toy store looking for a good gift for our nephew at Christmas time.

Hey Matt,

That's not really what I'm saying. As a matter of fact I like toys and tools. There is just certain things that I think have a negative potential that is far to great to embrace. And yes. It's just my opinion but it's really sad and frustrating to see our youth figure that everything can be done from the couch.

Like why go hang out with friends when I can just send a text and a photo.
Why climb that hill if I can just send my drone up instead.

Those are just some simple basic thoughts without getting to deep into it.
I would put drones in the same danger zone as Facebook. It is absolutely crazy how people become addicted to technology. As a kid I was one who was addicted to video games and it was a bad thing, speaking from experience.

Life is simply better without some things. It's a slippery slope.
