Reasoning I went this route was to keep weight down as you know that our machines as reliable as they are they are not snot pouring fire breathing dragons of horse power.
I was out yesterday in two feet of snow 2nd and 3rd gear just pawing through everything....even broke through ice on a slough and pinned it as water and slush was flying every where...pucker factor but they bite and got me out of a hairy situation.

Just some food for thought,
Good luck.

Did the same sizes on all my quads including my 420 electric shift, but in the bear claws. I wouldn't do it again with this quad as the gearing is too high and it has little torque compared to the manuals.
In my 96 and 99 with manual transmission, torque was not a problem and the bear Claws in that size were awesome.
The smaller tread design on the mud lites will save around 3.5lbs per tire.
If you've got an automatic/electric shift without low range like mine, I'd consider the lighter tires, otherwise not really a concern.
