Oh man that reminds me of my good ol days a few years back when I still had spring break in high school. We went about 4 times up to North Wabasca during spring break in march and would stay right on the ice in my grandpa's hunting trailer for three-four days. It was sweet. Wake up, jump out of the trailer and kick the hole to open it up and soon a walleye or nice perch would be flippin around on the ice. We found it was nice to take a couple of long planks and a big tarp to make a wind break. It gets old being out on the windy ice for days, but with the winbreak you can sit in the sun and fish! Here are some pics, that was some of the best fishing times I've ever enjoyed.

my little bro was three here and pulled in this ten pound pike... or should I say it almost pulled him in, man that was funny to watch, now he's almost as tall as me at 12 y/o.

Caught my biggest pike up there too.

Sure would love to go stay out on the ice again some time! loved that experience!!!

Brandon
