I picked Schaffer's name from among my favourite mountains. Mount Schaffer is above Lake O'Hara in Yoho NP. I think geographic names work pretty well for dogs.

A dog name goes to far into depth for me to specify. I've named my dogs for the character the dog becomes. My last dog bounced like a deer in tall grass so I called him scamp, young hooligan.

If they're also Bruin fans they could call him Neely, unless in your case the bruin is a bear, then the name would be Bear.

I just got a Springer spaniel pup and named her Remi, suits her good, better if she trains good for sheds and bird retrieving.

I think the new pup's name should be the same as the fate awaiting him now that the coyotes have a taste for dog

Name him - "Next"

i name my dogs after Star Wars characters. The last one i got is a husky/malamute female. I googled female star wars characters, and now have Jaina.

My point is perhaps finding a subject you like, and searching names around that subject.

GL!

Cheers

Had dogs named; Bronx, Dane, Jaws, Duke and Riggs. All seemed like good names. Especially jaws, might not be for everyone buy he was a big blue rescue pit bull that had the best temperament I've ever seen. My some named him jaws as a child because he was big and blue like the shark
